Jessica leads the senior capstone project team, bringing significant experience managing various undergraduate medical device projects. She is responsible for several sub-team operations. As she is involved in the operational department, research and development (R&D), hardware and design, and the clinical research group. She utilizes her R&D and leadership skills to manage team purchases, oversee grant applications, enhance hardware development, and collect data for our IRB-approved clinical study.

Chloe Chow

Chloe plays a vital role with her proficiency in hardware design and development, which will directly enhance the quality of our prototype. She will play a vital role in developing a smaller iteration of our product through thorough testing and impactful contributions, ultimately ensuring it meets required standards.

Candace Gallegos

Candace Gallegos

Driven by her hardware design background and a strong personal motivation to create impactful solutions based on lived experiences, Candace advances device fabrication. She also conducts vital customer discovery, clinical research, and interviews to ensure the device effectively addresses stakeholder needs.

Leveraging his hardware and algorithm expertise, Elian will ensure design consistency. His deep understanding of fabrication will be vital in guaranteeing the prototype's optimal functionality. Furthermore, Elian contributes to the clinical research team by providing essential data analysis to inform the algorithm development.

Paul Morenkov

Paul Morenkov

Paul contributes his expertise in software and algorithm development, honed through previous roles as a data analyst and hyperspectral analysis software developer, to optimize device performance and functionality. He also leads efforts to refine the product’s market fit by organizing customer outreach and gathering user feedback via our clinical study in collaboration with UCIMC clinicians and nurses.
